CropLife India is a non-profit and non-governmental organization (NGO) with a goal to promote sustainable agriculture in India built on climate-smart agriculture and innovative farming methods. Through Product Stewardship, Progressive Regulation, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and Data Protection, it collaborates closely with CropLife Asia and CropLife International to drive programs to promote a safe, responsible, and prudent use of crop protection solutions under the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach. The stewardship program at CropLife India not only promotes responsible planning and management of plant science products but also significantly contributes to farmers’ understanding of the value of agrochemicals. It continues to work to educate farmers on how to use agrochemicals safely and effectively to protect crops and the environment.
CropLife India keeps up its advocacy efforts for a regulatory framework that will constantly advance to make it easier for farmers to access innovative crop protection solutions. This not only helps them tackle the problem of crop pests but also aids them in securing their livelihoods and maintaining a steady food supply chain. CropLife India has spread to several regions of the nation, touching the lives of Indian farmers, which has frequently been observed and praised. Authorities have acknowledged its considerable outreach efforts to spread the message of proper usage of crop protection products and have given them recognition for the hard work accomplished.
CropLife India has received awards in recognition of its member companies’ hard work, and the secretariat encourages them to continue this good work. CropLife India and its members keep up their strong collaboration with farmers, the scientific community, and policymakers to address present and future challenges.
